The Night of Halloween
Ghosts, goblins, and clowns, oh my! The season of fall is when all these creatures come out. They come out the night of the October 31st. There are many kids that dress up and walk door to door just to say, “Trick or treat” and hold out their bags expecting candy to be put in. But when the dweller of the house says, “sorry we’re out.”, the kids slump their shoulders and put on a fake smile and say, ”thanks anyway” and walk away dragging their feet. Until they get to the next house with lights and candy galore. A real smile is put on their faces and as a handful of candy is dropped into their bags they watch to see what they got. They run away cheerfully while saying, “happy Halloween!, thanks!”, not knowing what to expect at the next house with only a porch light on.
This is very well written! I love that its about Halloween! One thing that you could improve on is showing the kids dragging their feet not just telling us. Other than that I really enjoyed it.
